The legal profession in Italy is regulated at a legislative level by some rules, the main one can be considered the New regulation of the legal profession - law 31 December 2012 n. 247 published in the Italian Official Journal no. 15 of 18/01/2013 and subject to subsequent amendments - in force from 02 February 2013 (Link to the Law 31 December 2012 in the Italian text).
The Forensic Code of Conduct - published in the Official Journal no. 241 of 16 October 2014 and subject to subsequent amendments - also contains the rules that the lawyer must respect in relations with the people and entities with whom he comes into contact in the exercise of the profession (Link to the Forensic Code of Ethics in the Italian text).
